Biography coming soon...My name is Benjamin Ragland (I like being called Benny by my friends). I was born an artist! Art of any kind has always come easy for me. I won a first place in a "Keep Virginia Green" poster contest when I was in the 3rd grade at 8 years old. I also won first place in the state (Virginia). I received a lot of encouragement as I was going through school so I attended Holden School of Art and Design in Charlottesville, VA, where I received a Graphic Arts Management Certificate in 1973. Right out of art school I went to work for an advertising agency. I was drafted a year later so I joined the US Navy were I was an Illustrator/ Draftsman for the next 3 years.
